- Chelsea and Chris present as a pretty average American family, but when the couple first met and fell in love, they were both lesbians. Through IVF, the couple then had a child together, Carter. Shortly after, Chris came out as trans. The couple attended therapy, watched YouTube videos and had in-depth discussions about the impact it would have on their relationship, before coming to the realisation that their love 'transcended gender'.
